Your bank account is formatted with Empty 0.0.

That's definitely one feature of these--an empty bank account. I priced it out. A Dell Precision with a Xeon processor, 64gb ECC ram, and 3 Class 50 SSD's will top at around $6,000--maybe more--and that's with 3x512gb, not even the max specs.
I'm not spending that, but I could in a few months if it were PROVEN worthwhile. Since I'm on my machine every waking moment, it might be.
The fact is that a lot of these top-end systems, once you actually look at the benchmarks, have specs that purport to force-multiply, but then they turn out bottlenecked for something you didn't expect, so it's just wasted money. A great example is the new Acer Predator 21X, which is a $9,000 laptop. It has 2 video cards, but when you benchmark them, the frame rate goes down when using both. Don't know why, don't care why, but I'm not buying it.
