Might as well do this myself:
1. They're not really ethical or unethical if you ask me.  But this might just be anti advertisement bias because the ads are boring.  I also fast forward commercials on tv I've recorded. 
2. That's a tough one.  Might be why I asked the question.  I'm going to say it is because it's still a privately owned browser.
3. Oh hell no.  They're based in scams and trying to malware up your computer.
4. I don't know if I'd say it becomes ethical, but certainly excusable.
5. Yes.  Competition is a requirement of capitalism.

Ad blockers are always ethical.

I wouldn't have the right to shut him up but I do have the right to put in ear plugs and not look at him, right?

I hate those video ads that pop up while a page is trying to load - if I want to watch it, I'll click play, thanks.  F you.
