I've been interested into reading or watching this series for a while. From what I can tell Peter's character Chernobog is a Slavic dark god who is purely nasty according to their mythology. He was even the villain in a Disney film. People gave human sacrifices to him to keep him at bay. He was a real badass.
Some scholars think he is a Christian attempt at teaching Pagans about Satan.

Americans take God too far , like the people of Israel , they think they are the "chosen people" .
In their case , they did the choosing , not God .

Yeah, I found all those little deer shaking their butts during the Erocia was peculiar. I mean even as a little kid it seemed oddly 'butt obsessed' to me.
